At the Castle
Our greatest wines are made from Malbec grapes planted on the second and third terraces of the Lot river on clay-gravel soil with a Kimmeridgian base. Malbec grapes represent 85% of Lagrezette's vineyard, the remaining being 13% Merlot and 2% Tannat. The clay limestone and siliceous terroir of its plots give our wines their strong character and authenticity. Handled with the greatest care - manual stripping and thinning - the vineyard produces grapes that are harvested and sorted by hand. This production process allows aromas and flavours to be preserved, producing high quality wines.
