Merveilles Syrah comes from our Rocamadour vineyard. We prepare this vine to get very low yield, about 35 Hl/Ha. The Rocamadour terroir is perfect to grow the Syrah with a clay-limestone soil and a high temperature during the day, and cold temperature during the night in order to keep all the flavors and acidity
The nose is expressive and elegant displaying cherry, vanilla, pepper and spices aromas. The wine is beautifully fresh and round on the palate with a good structure.
We’ve got all the Syrah characteristics : pepper, spices, red fruits on the mouth which add length. The Mas des Merveilles Syrah will be enjoyable to drink thanks to its smooth and elegant structure.
We hand pick the Syrah, the grapes travel with a refrigerated truck to the winery. We crush and destem the grapes and pick through all the small green grapes parts with 2 sorting tables in order to get whole berries. We fill some bins that go down on a large platform on the top of the tanks. The main goal is to fill the tanks using only the gravity to protect the integrity of the grapes
